Quartzite is a natural stone that originates from sandstone. Over millions of years, immense heat and pressure transform these sandstone deposits into quartzite through a process called metamorphism. This intense transformation recrystallizes the quartz grains, creating a tightly interlocking mosaic that defines quartzite’s characteristics.
